Three Sided 77H Gas Fireplace
The Three-Sided Statement Piece Almost seven feet of fire, and every seat in the room gets a front-row view. Who it’s for Most fireplaces face one direction. Put one in a room that opens to the kitchen or the dining table, and half the seats are looking at the back of a wall. You need a fire you can see from every seat . If you’re building or remodeling and you want the fireplace to be the architecture itself—the peninsula wall, the room divider—the Ortal Three Sided 77H is that piece. Choose a single-sided unit instead and the fire performs for one half of the space while the other half gets drywall. Quick facts Viewing area: 81 5/16″ of flame behind tall glass, open to view on three sides Fuel: natural gas or propane Controls: handheld remote with thermostat, timer, and eco settings; wall switch and smartphone app options What makes it special The 77H is frameless on all three glass sides, so your finishing materials run right to the edge of the fire —tile, stone, or plaster meets the glass with nothing in between, and the fire reads as part of the wall rather than an appliance set into it. It builds into a framed wall, and the finish work is part of the job, so plan the project around it rather than after it. The wall above it stays cool enough that you can hang a TV or artwork directly over the fire —no mantel required, no gap of blank wall between the flame and the screen. Internal lighting comes standard on this model, and it earns its place: dim the light from 20 to 100% from the remote , or run the light with no flame at all on a summer evening. Set the thermostat mode to 70 and the fireplace holds the room there on its own, cycling the flame as needed. Possible downsides It needs household power to run —the lighting system operates on an AC adapter, so the fireplace will not operate during a power outage. A heat barrier is required: choose between the mesh protective screen and the double glass front. The black reflective interior is an optional upgrade , not included with the base unit. If you want a fire the whole room can see, the Three Sided 77H is the right decision. The wall that divides the room becomes the reason everyone gathers in it. Five log sets are included—standard, weathered driftwood, refractory clay, and short and long English logs—with bonfire, campfire, aspen, and charred-branch sets, individual branches in black, grey, or white, and a black reflective interior available as upgrades, so the fire can match the room you’re building around it.
