Ortal’s passive cool-wall construction keeps the surface above the fire cool enough that a TV or artwork can hang right above the flame —no mantel, no buffer zone, no rearranging the room around the fireplace. There’s no frame and no grille work. Your finish material runs right to the edge of the glass , so the fire reads as part of the wall the way a window does , not as an appliance set into it. The remote does the tending for you. Set 70 and the fireplace holds the room there on its own , schedule it to come on before you’re downstairs in the morning, or run it from your phone. There’s a child lock, a countdown timer, and an eco mode that lets the flame rise and fall on its own. Possible downsides The double-glass version requires household power and won’t run during an outage; the protective-screen version doesn’t carry this limit.
