If you’re framing a new wall or opening one up in a remodel and you want the fire, the TV, and your finish materials together, the Ortal Front Facing FR 25H & 75 is that fireplace—it builds into the framing, so plan on tile or stone work as part of the job. Choose a conventional louvered unit instead and the space above the fire stays too hot for anything but blank wall. And because the face is frameless, your tile or stone runs right to the edge of the glass. No louvers, no metal border, no gap. The remote works like a thermostat: set 70 and the flame adjusts on its own , cycling up and down to hold the room there. Program it to come on before you’re up in the morning, run eco mode for a slow, modulating flame, or add the wall switch or app control from your phone. The FR 25H’s taller glass includes internal lighting, so the firebox glows even when the flame is off. Possible downsides The Double Glass models need household power and won’t operate during a power outage; the protective-screen version can run on battery backup. The black reflective interior is an option, not standard —the firebox comes in the standard finish unless you add it.
