Ortal
Front Facing 77H Gas Fireplace
The Six-Foot Statement Fire Six feet of fire, and a wall cool enough to hang the TV. Who it’s for In most rooms the fireplace is a detail—a slot of flame the furniture ignores. You need a fire big enough to carry the room on its own . If you’re building or remodeling and you want the fire to be the wall’s main event, with the TV hanging right above it, the Ortal Front Facing 77H is the one. Because it’s built into a framed wall, it belongs in new construction or a remodel, and the finish work is part of the job. Choose a standard-height linear instead and you get an accent; choose this and you get architecture . Quick facts Viewing area: 77 7/16″ wide × 21 5/8″ tall Fuel: natural gas; propane conversion available Controls: remote with thermostat, timer, and eco modes; app and wall switch options Interior lighting: included, dimmable from the remote What makes it special The fire runs over six feet wide and nearly two feet tall behind Ortal’s high glass. The design is frameless, so your tile or stone runs right to the edge of the fire and it reads as part of the wall, not an appliance set into it . The wall above stays cool. Ortal’s Passive Cool Wall Technology means you can hang a TV or artwork directly above the fire —no mantel between them, no compromise on where the screen goes. Living with it is push-button simple. The remote holds the room at the temperature you set, a timer shuts the fire down on schedule, and the interior lighting dims from the remote—you can even run the light with no flame , so the logs still glow on a summer evening. Possible downsides The built-in lighting requires the AC adapter , so the fireplace won’t operate during a power failure. Front-facing view only ; the fire is meant to be seen from one side of the room. The black reflective interior is an option, not standard. If you want the fireplace to be the first thing anyone notices when they walk in, the Front Facing 77H is the right decision. The room with the fire becomes the room everyone ends up in. The 77H comes with your choice of five log sets—standard, weathered driftwood, refractory clay, and short or long English logs—plus optional bonfire, campfire, aspen, charred-branch, and single-branch media in black, grey, or white, a black reflective interior, a protective screen or double-glass front, and a propane conversion.
