It builds into a framed wall, so plan on finish work as part of the installation. Ortal’s Passive Cool Wall Technology keeps the wall directly above cool enough for a TV or artwork , which is exactly where most people want to put one over a corner unit. The remote does the tending for you: set a temperature and the fireplace holds the room there on its own , or run the eco setting and let the flame rise and fall through the evening. A wall switch and phone app are available if that’s how your house works. The double glass version requires household power and will not run during a power outage. Interior lighting is an add-on , not included on this model.
